JGarden Description:There is not much of a garden here, mostly a waterfall and small landscaped space near a Japaense tea house (or teehaus). The pavilion was donated to the city to commemorate the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. Tea ceremonies are held here hourly on the weekend. The Englischer Garten is really one of Munich's jewels. It is one of the oldest English-style landscape gardens on the continent and one of the largest municipal parks in Europe. Although perhaps best known for its nudists, the park is popular with all types of people all year round. Other features include a Chinese pagoda with adjoining beer garden, the Monopteros Greek temple, a river and a boating lake.

Take the U-Bahn 3 or 6. Get off at the Universitat station.

You ask me why I dwell in the green mountain;
I smile and make no reply for my heart is free of care.
As the peach blossom which flows downstream and is gone into the unknown,
I have a world apart that is not among men.
