JGarden Description:On the site of a villa originally built for Emperor Kameyama in 1274, this Nanzenji sub-temple has undergone numerous reconstructions, the most recent being in the Edo period. The pond and stroll garden here is off the beaten track but is still worth a visit.

Have not dried from the needles
Of the fir forest
Before the evening mist
Of autumn rises.
